MIROSLAV VOJTÍŠEK
Mr. Miroslav VOJTÍŠEK is the founder and owner of the CHALLENGER HOCKEY s.r.o. company.
Mr. VOJTÍŠEK was born on 17th March 1943;he is married and has a son and a daughter.
He speaks fluent English and good Russian.
He graduated at the Faculty of Sports in Prague and has participated in a long-term study in the USA.
He has dedicated his entire career to sports and activities connected with it.He has been one of the pioneers
of baseball in the former Czechoslovakia and the coach of Czechoslovak national baseball team for many years.
In the period of 1976 to 1990,he was working in the Czechoslovak Ice Hockey Federation.In his position as the
international secretary, he was responsible for international relations. He arranged international trips of
Czechoslovakian national teams of all age categories. He was also responsible for organising the incoming
of foreign teams to Czechoslovakia. In 1986, he made a real miracle happen - he brought the first professionals
from the NHL to the communist Czechoslovakia. Thanks to his efforts, local people for the first time could see
a breath-taking match between our players and professionals from the Calgary Flames.
As all real sportsmen do, Mr. VOJTÍŠEK seeks challenges for improvement in all phases of his life.
A major challenge presented itself in 1990 when he decided to utilise his broad experience and multiple contacts
by founding his own company, Challenger Hockey s.r.o. His main motivation was to facilitate contacts of sportsmen
from all over the world, mainly in the junior categories. Logically, as ice hockey has always been his beloved
discipline and the Czech Republic is a country of World Champions and Olympic medallists from Nagano 1998, his
main activities and efforts are focused on ice hockey. Nevertheless, he has been active in other disciplines as
well. Thanks to Mr. VOJTÍŠEK’s never ending efforts and enthusiasm, he has become the winner of
this challenge during last ten years. It is to be credited to him, in the first place, that Challenger Hockey
s.r.o has developed into a highly respectable and renowned business partner for sport clubs in many countries.
