World Sports Consul Hosts Learn to Skate Camps for Orphaned Children
On September 10, 11 and 12, 2008, World Sports Consul hosted Learn to Skate Camps for Orphaned Children in Kiev, Ukraine.
On September 19 and 20, 2008, World Sports Consul hosted Learn to Skate Camps for orphaned children in Kirovograd,
Ukraine. The Learn to Skate Camps were made possible in part by a grant from the US Embassy in Kiev’s Cultural Affairs
Section. Thank you to the Embassy for their support. And, thank you to our US friends who donated hockey equipment.
Coach Oleg Tsirkounov, Director of World Sports Consul and owner of Advanced Hockey Trainining, taught the orphaned children
skating skills. The children received donated hockey jerseys, T-shirts and pins provided by World Sports Consul. Two
orphanages from Kiev were each presented a hockey bag full of hockey skates.
Many smiles were seen on the faces of the children. All involved with the Learn to Skate Camps were happy to provide such
a fun and learning experience for the children. Our planned “Vision on Ice” program will enable us to get many of these
